Room 6 has been looking at Science demonstrations lately.
Today we discussed the movement of molecules and the impact temperature has on their stability.
A few students were a bit "jumpy" but it was good fun!
Here are some similar demonstrations related to our topic of imploding and exploding.
Imploding soda can
Exploding Pringles
Not your typical Mentos and Coke Demo
Rocket Science
Students should now be researching their topic ideas for Science and getting the experiment organised.

Congratulations
Congratulations to all the runners who took part in the cross country run today.
What a great effort you all made, you should be proud.
In the end, the weather and temperature were about perfect for running a race! Well done Room 6.
Stay tuned for a short video of the days events.
Getting ready to race!

Science Investigations
Week 1 was a great start to the Term in regards to Science Investigations. We all had fun when the instructors from Science Alive came to teach us a thing or two!
Take a look...
This week students have been attending teacher demonstrations. We are trying to live up to the fun we had in Week 1. Hopefully this will inspire them to come up with their own neat ideas for Science Fair.

Welcome Back
Welcome back and get ready for another fun filled Term ahead of us. We may not be going to camp but we still have lots to look forward to this Term.
Many students shared their excitment about:
-Getting back to Technology classes
-the up coming cross country race
-Science Fair projects and our Science Alive school visit
-Winter sport starting up soon
-And of course getting homework again!
And what a way to start the Term with the day off on Wednesday. But as we discussed in class, today is much more than a day off from school. May we remeber to take a moment and remember the people who fought for freedom and died trying to protect others.
We pray that the offering of their lives may not have been in vain.
Amen
ps. Students you DO NOT need a 1.5L bottle for tomorrow. You will need it for next week.
Have a nice day,
